Possible: A hysterectomy is possible on an 18 year old but is a radical solution to "severe severe" periods. There are MANY other alternatives to try first. Birth control pills, depoprovera,lysteda, and the Skyla IUD are just a few of the alternatives. I would suggest that you see a gynecologist and discuss all of your options. I am sure that a regime can be found that will help.
