Chronic back pain: Pain is a challenging thing to manage. Establishing a goal for pain relief is a start. Depending on what is the underlying cause of the pain, if the injections did not help, surgery may be an option. Chronic opioid therapy, with combinations of short acting and long acting meds is an option as well. Lastly, which ever treatment modality is chosen, you should also entertain the mental toll.
