A member asked:

How come bad headaches cause me to be more irritable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Of course!: When we are in pain due to the pain mediators released this causes a decrease in serotonin; serotonin is the neurotransmitter that gives us a 'sense of well-being'. So lack of this would make someone irritable, right?
