No: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and Atarax are both first generation Antihistamines and both should not be taken together.

Not adviseable : You can, but i wouldn't advise it. Taking 2 sedating medications at the same time is never a good idea.

Hydroxyzine: For as long as the medication is prescribed for what it is supposed to treat. If you have concerns, you really should bring them up to the prescribing doctor, since they know what they are treating you for.
