A member asked:

My mom got 3 kenalog (triamcinolone) injections, last one 2 months ago and now her back really hurts, her period is all mixed up and she has headaches. she's feeling sick most of the time... could it be because of it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: Kenalog (triamcinolone) is a steroid and steroids can cause a lot of symptoms from blood sugar elevation, insomnia, emotional lability to weight gain. This can even happen with a local injection into a joint although not as common as with oral steroids. After two months though, should be resolving.
