Probably: Not listed in my resource as an issue but generally thought that if a drug is good for the mind it is bad for the sex organs and vice versa. This is a potent narcotic and i would strongly believe that it could/would have some degree of sexual side effects. Consult a pharmacist/pharm. D. Or your pcp or addiction medicine doctor.

...it depends: By definition, Methadone detox takes place over less than 180 days. The patient is progressively weaned over that time. Methadone maintenance, on the other hand, is more than 180 days. The decision is made by the patient, physican, counseling and social services over which route to take, and the best outcomes occur when everyone on this team takes an active role throughout the process.

Methadone treatment: The hangovers from pain pills and heroin abuse will stop when you switch to methadone. You will no longer have cravings for opiate drugs. You are able to function in other important roles of your life: work, family and social obligations. You are least likely to get into legal troubles, and you are more likely to have some extra money in your wallet to take your loved ones out to eat.
