In my prenatal visits is my doctor suppose to run test to see if my baby is going to come out healthy with no disease or special needs?

Every obstetrician: or midwife has a protocol of what should be done at each prenatal visit. Many are simple checks of your & baby's health: blood pressure, urine protein, weight gain, baby heart rate and movements. At specified intervals there is more focus on the baby such as ultrasound tests or checking amniotic fluid. But these are not done at every visit. Ask for more explanation. Good wishes:)
