A member asked:

Best type" of "doctor" to visit when talking about a "research" test that would cover everything from infectious diseases to toxicology and other?

Infectious disease: A good doctor to discuss this with would be an internal medicine doctor with a specialty in infectious diseases. Especially if that doctor has spent some time in the us communicable disease center in atlanta (ccd). Alternatives would be medical school faculty in microbiology and toxicology.

Your primary doctor: I don't know of any research test which would cover these topics. Infectious disease and toxicology are very different specialities with little overlap. Your primary doctor could get a better idea what tests you need and can refer you to the proper specialist.
