Polyurethane, no N-9: Allergy to latex is quite common, and in allergic persons latex condoms can cause itching, irritation, etc. Condoms packaed with a sperm-killing chemical like nontoxynol-9 (N-9) are irritating to some people. Try latex condoms without spermcide, or look for condoms made of polyurethane, which rarely cause allergy or irritation and are just as effective as latex condoms.
