MSMs, IDUs: In the us, certain groups are more prone to HIV because of the higher prevalence (more common) in these groups. Men who have sex with men (msm) and injection drug users (idu) were affected early on in the epidemic because of how HIV transmission occurs - thru unprotected sex and sharing needles. In africa, HIV transmission also occurs thru unprotected sexual contact but in heterosexuals mostly.
