Numbness: Numbness and tingling in any limb likely is related to nerve compression. This often happens when sleeping in awkward positions or sitting in awkward positions without moving much. When relieved of that position, numbness usually resolves. If persistent, you should see your doctor to check out other possible nerve conditions as well as possible metabolic conditions such as diabetes & low B12.
