A member asked:

Is the ora-quick home hiv test accurate? its fda approved. should i use it and trust the results?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Limitations: A negative result on a test done too soon after exposure does not rule out HIV. A positive test needs to be confirmed with a more definitive test, i.e., positive result does not mean you have HIV. Consult this site for info about home test. http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm310545.htm
