A member asked:

Can mri detect stomach cancers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It would depend on the type and stage of cancer. Some stomach cancers spread superficially through the mucosa and may not be detectable by MRI. Biopsy and examination of the tissue by a pathologist is the gold standard.
