Drug reaction: Pantoprazole is a drug used to reduce acid production in the stomach and thus relieve or prevent gastritis or ulcers. Phenergan (promethazine) is used for nausea, vomiting, motion sickness and sedation. It has little effect on stomach acid. It probably will not help any burning or indigestion you might have due to gastritis or peptic ulcer disease. It might help the nausea.
