Amoxicillin: They are probably quite safe, but effectiveness is another issue. Check with the pharmacy or the company and they will tell you the expiration date. Most last twice as long as the projected expiration date.

Probably, but don't: Safe? Probably yes, if stored reasonably normally, e.g. not if subjected to extreme temperatures like a car's glove compartment. But you still shouldn't take it without a doctor's advice. Nobody should ever take an antibiotic on their own. And once you have spoken with your doctor about whatever symptoms you have, if amoxicillin or other antibiotic is recommended, you can get a new prescription.
