URGENT ER EVAL: That area of the neck is where the CAROTID ARTERY is. You need prompt evaluation to rule out a dissection /aneurysm/Stenosis. Also it is possible to have a DVT IN THE SHOULDER/BRACHIAL PLEXUS REGION. Seek prompt evaluation
