Maybe: Your brain uses a chemical called acetylcholine in the formation of memory. Drugs that help enhance acetylcholine are used in the treatment of dementia. Drugs that are anticholinergic such as diphenhydramine can worsen memory in dementia patients. Removal of this drug can help the memory. Hope this helps. Best wishes!
