Metrorrhagia: It is not unusual to have spotting or vaginal bleeding days after a regular cycle. Multiple causes can be considered (most of the time it is nothing to worry about, such as a cold), but if bleeding is abundant or you continue having bleeding in between periods see you doctor or gynecologist for evaluation of other causes (hormonal changes, medications or infections).
