Bacterial vaginosis?: Two good bets: Single dose metronidazole is only 90% effective against trichomonas, i.e. a 10% chance you still have it. Second, trich often is accompanied by bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal vaginal bacteria. Both trich and BV cause discharge with strong (often fishy) odor. BV is treated with metronidazole 2x daily for a week and would cover both infections. Check with doctor.
