No.: There would be no circumstance under which a chiropractic adjustment would have any effect on a hiatal hernia. In association with underlying gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a hiatal hernia can aggravate symptoms of the disease, such as acid reflux, dyspepsia, heartburn, esophagitis, etc. Consultation with a surgeon who has interest in reflux disease is suggested here.
