YES & NO: In general, a higher SPF does indicate the product is better at screening out the harmful rays. However, you have to use it for it to work. Second, higher SPF does not mean it lasts longer or is better in water, sweat, etc. So while a higher SPF can be a better protector, it only is if you use it and re-use it when you sweat, swim, bathe - in other words, reapply liberally!!
