Stay calm: Choking is a scary situation. The most common mistake I see is parents blowing into the face of a infant or pounding on their back while they are making noises of chocking. If there is noise - there is airway movement and these moves can cause the situation to worsen. If there is no noise or only few intermittent gasps try the following:
