Growth hormone deficiency: Growth hormone deficiency is seen in children who present with abnormally short height / stature. It is very treatable. Also called: Panhypopituitarism; Pituitary dwarfism; Recombinant human GH (rhGH); Acquired growth hormone deficiency; Congenital growth hormone deficiency; Somatropin. Adults can acquire GHD due to damage to the pituitary gland from brain tumor, surgery, infection, or radiation.
