Not much: Delavirdine is usually not recommended these days. It generally has inferior efficacy, and it’s dosed three times a day, which is inconvenient. However, HIV medications are given as part of a regimen carefully planned by a team of healthcare professionals based on a patient’s virus resistance patterns. If delavirdine has been prescribed as part of that plan, it should be taken.
