The area you: describe is at the "radiocarpal" or "scapholunate" joint. There are many musculoskeletal issues that can cause pain, such as arthritis, ligament tears, fractures, osteonecrosis, tendonitis, or ganglion cysts, just to name a few! You are best off seeing your primary doc who can examine you or get an xray. Ask for a CD of your study, and I can explain it on HT Concierge at healthtap.com/saurbornmd
