A member asked:

My daughter is 14 months old can i give relent + for cold as she is suffering with running nose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not recommended: No the AAP doesn't recommend any OTC remedies for cold symptoms for patients under the age of 6. Saline nose drops & bulb syringe to remove nasal mucous prior to meals/bedtime & a cool mist humidifier at the bedside for comfort. You can elevate the head of your child's bed 30 degrees by rolling a towel under the mattress. Please see your pediatrician for further recommendations.
