Shouldn't: Unless you are pregnant or obese. If you are pregnant, good luck! can't sleep on your back and should sleep on side to maintain blood flow. If obese, excess weight + organs can "pull" on your spine and injure your back--same goes for side sleeping. If you are actuallyl feeling pain and not just asking about it, seek care from your doctor asap. It shouldn't hurt to sleep.
