Allergy vs "sinus": If the voice is hoarse for several days, it could be due to an upper respiratory virus, allergies, a subacute sinus infection, heartburn (reflux) or another issue. More history would be needed to pick the culprit: itchy nose or throat could=allergy; lots of sick friends could=a cold; burning throat and lower chest could =reflux; yellow mucus and face pain could=sinus infection.
