Small stools: Such small stools often signify a need to increase your daily fluid and fiber intake. If you have a strong urge to defecate and can't, insert a glycerin rectal suppository or a gentle fleets enema. Taking senokot (senna) daily gives you a stool softener with a gentle stimulant if this is needed. Consult a gastroenterologist if you have further concerns about your bowel movements.
