Possible: cardiopulmonary bypass, anaesthesia, blood transfusions may all have cognitive consequences. Your child is still young enough that the brain should have the opportunity to heal. I would encourage you to get a neurologic evaluation as soon as possible, as well as seeing a pediatric behaviour specialist to assess the extent of the problem and treatment options
