Warm salt Water: If you do indeed have ulcerations on your tongue then warm a salt water rinse can be helpful. Kitchen table salt is ok. If they are not resolved in two weeks, see a dentist.

Kanka: First, cold sores generally do not occur on the tongue except in primary outbreak. What i think you are referring to are apthous ulcers of the tongue. Either way, otc kanka , dabbed on the ulcer, w ill coat and relieve the pain. This is the best product I have found!
