Can you please describe myotic aneurysm from pancreas transplant artery anastomosis?

Mycotic aneurysm : Is generally an infected area of a blood vessel that is stretched out of its usual cylindrical shape. At an anastomosis between two vessels this could be a false aneurysm, formed when there is some leakage of blood from the anastomosis. This could be quite dangerous, particularly in an immunosuppressed individual after a transplant.

Artery is infected: Vascular connections are usually sterile. It can become dangerous when they do become infected because the infection can destroy the connection, and the blood vessels may erode - with a result of bleeding. A pancreas transplant typically has 3 arterial connections (anastomosis) that may become infected. If so, the pancreas usually is removed and the artery closed securely for safety.
