Abnormal swelling: There are 2 basic types of femoral aneurysms- pseudoaneurysms- frequently caused by angiograms, and true aneurysms. Pseudoaneurysm treatment depends on the size, but should be assessed by a vascular surgeon. True aneurysms are treated depending on size, and have the risk of clotting off or tossing debris down the leg. They are also associated with a higher risk of aneurysms of the aorta.
