White tongue: On any form of steroids?, inhaled steroids for asthma? Have an autoimmune disease on medication?immunosupressed? diabetes? These can predispose to thrush which is a fungal infection in the mouth (yeast) and is treated by dilfucan or nystatin trouches. The thrush can cause irritation and redness elsewhere in the mouth. Could also be strep . Follow up w/doc/ urgent care today
