A member asked:

Is it possible for rhodiola rosea to cause hashimoto's thyroiditis in somebody?

Unlikely: I cannot identify any cases implicating rhodiola as a causative factor for autoimmune attack of the thyroid. Long-term safety data is not available. Rhodiola is used in Eastern medicine to treat symptoms of hypothyroidism (fatigue, depressed mood, concentration). I cannot form an opinion as to its effect.
