A member asked:

What should you do if someone you love gets cancer and will refuse medical treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Encourage & support: This is a very difficult situation. Education for yourself and your loved one is key. Finding out about the cancer and the options for treatment is important. For example, many of the old stigma about chemotherapy and radiation therapy has changed. Many of these treatments are newer, improved and better tolerated. Furthermore, many of these treatments can make a big improvement in survival.
