Can retest later: If a pregnancy test result is uncertain, one can retest one week later. It is not necessary to retest any sooner than that. Pregnancy tests should have a Control Line (one line) and then no other lines if NEGATIVE. If there is one other line in addition to the Control Line, then the result is POSITIVE. Haven't seen a 3-lined home pregnancy test, but if you have one, double-check the instructions.
