A member asked:

Can the experts please talk about the most typical symptoms of hyperthyroidism?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Symptoms: Symptoms are variable. You feel your body is racing... But then it may crash later. Palpitations, racing heart, tremor, nervousness, mood changes, irritability, many bowel movements or diarrhea. Some people feel like they are shaking on the inside. Any one of these symptoms can predominate; not everyone gets them all. Elderly people may only have the cardiac symptoms (eg. Atrial fibrillation).
