Pinworms: Access virtual consult or notify your doctor for treatment. Enterobius vermicularis are contracted via ingestion after touching contaminated furniture, linens, doorknobs etc. The worms live in the large intestine, but the mother worms travel to the anus to lay eggs at night, which is an itchy experience. Believe it or not, this is common and easily treated.
