TB treatment failure: Treatment fails if the wrong antibiotics are used (i.e. the organism is or becomes resistant), if the patient doesn't take the medicine as directed for long enough, or if the patient has a compromised immune system such as from AIDS or other issues. Some organisms just don't have effective treatments as well.
