Lymph node: What you felt is quite likely a lymph node. From the sound of it, it does not appear to be of concern. Many people have lymph nodes that they feel, and it does not mean anything cancerous. The fact that it can be moved around, and is smooth are all good signs. If you still are concerned, have your doctor do an exam. Best wishes.
