Overreaction: You did not list prior meds but I would guess you have many options left. In addition, while Actemra (tocilizumab) can be used alone it works best when combined with methotrexate or Arava.

Maybe under treated!: I use Actemra, an IL-6 inhibitor with other drugs, including MTX subcutaneous, sulphasalazine, and other drugs in combination. I rarely use a biologic solo! Have your doc get a CRP and assess inflammation. Pain has many causes. The goal is to stop inflammation, which has long term cardiovascular consequences!

My wife takes 2 Cimzia injections Once a month for RA. her doctor just changed it to Actemra injection which is one injection Once a week. her last injection of cimzia was 18 days ago.should she wait 30 days before she takes her new injection or no?
