HIV: There are always false positive and negative tests. Please be retested at 6 months and have your physician explore other reasons for enlarged lymph nodes and rashes such as other systemic viral syndromes. I hope your negative result was correct. Be extra careful to use preventive measures from now on, condoms, truvada, (emtricitabine and tenofovir) caution in choosing a partner such as mutual hiv tests first with shared result

Do PCR: if your ELISA test is negative, you may want to check viral load with PCR to completely rule out HIV if negative
