A member asked:

Is a uterine polyp something to be concerned about or can i put off having it removed? i'm 36 and currently divorced (not sexually active).

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No cause for alarm: Endometrial polyps in women under 50, particularly small polyps under 1 cm. are rarely "something to be concerned about" unless they are assumed to be the cause of excessive or abnormal uterine bleeding. Some may even regress spontaneously. You "can safely put off" your polypectomy under these circumstances or may even request to have a saline sonohysterogram in a few months before deciding.
