Irreg periods: Joshua43, the first year or so of the commencement of your periods can be non-ovulatory cycles and they are characteristically irreg. I assume you are not on a birth control injection or pills. Keep a meticulous diary of the days and heaviness of periods (# of pads or tampons used per period) for the next year. If this continues please see a gynecologist to follow with you thanks
