Hormones: Clearly, your reproductive hormones are a bit messed up!. Too much estrogen effect + too little progesterone effect can cause periods to be heavy, frequent and irregular. Unfortunately, the symptoms you describe don't shed light on the underlying cause, so I recommend you see your PCP or Gyno if your next cycle is also irregular. Tho I don't suspect pregnancy, a negative HPT would be reassuring.

Hormones: There are several conditions that can cause the symptoms that you described. Although some may be benign, there are others that should be treated. I suggest you see your primary care doctor as soon as these symptoms appear.
