Can emend be effective on its own for vomiting and nausea? i cant tolerate zofran (ondansetron) or zofran (ondansetron) class drugs.

Preventively only: Emend s effective when administered ahead of time to prevent the nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy but isn't effective after the fact. Emend has quite a number of side effects and interactions with other medications. You need to discuss this with your treating physician.
