Many possibilities: Left sided abdominal pain can be due to several different things. There are several organs that are close together in the pelvic area from which the pain may originate. In addition to menstrual cramps and constipation, the pain could be caused by an ovarian cyst or bladder infection, for example. She should be evaluated by a doctor and perhaps have some tests to determine the cause of the pain.
