Odd question...is it possible to defecate and throw up at the same time? and if so, why/what would cause this?

Talkin'FromBothEnds?: I was in a public restroom one day and I swear I heard a guy burp, cough, fart, sneeze and defecate all at the same time. Really. And I do know of severe"vagal"reactions where defecation and nausea/vomiting occur at the same time (usually from drugs or from really severe emotional situation, like maybe binge-watching 'The Walking Dead').Also,a form of food poisoning can cause it. But they all go away

Up and down and out: It is possible but usually unlikely. Vomiting is a way for the body to get rid of stomach contents quickly in the case of food poisoning or too much alcohol while defecating is the body's normal elimination process for solid wastes. Crohn's disease can cause vomiting with diarrhea as one cause. The flu may also cause vomiting associated with diarrhea. but usually NOT a solid formed stool
