Treat constipation: Anal fissure will recur when you are constipated. It is important that your bowel movements are soft in order for healing to occur. Use ointment to affected area twice daily.

Need soft stool: A hard and difficult stool will make it hard for a anal fissure to heal. you need to address your diet and fluid intake so that you have soft and easy to pass stools. Once the stools are soft and you can pass them easily, the fissure has a better chance of healing.

Treat constipation: treat your constipation first so that hard stools do not re-injure it. May need a consultation by proctologist if symptoms persist
